Innovative conservation action can improve habitats for rare dune plant and animal species. The Dynamic Dunescapes App provides a range of activities to measure sand dune health.

How can you get involved and what can the data tell us? Join David, Dynamic Dunescapes Engagement Officer at Plantlife to find out.

Many of us will have walked through dunes to visit the beach this summer. Few of us know that due to biodiversity loss, sand dunes are Europe’s most at-risk habitat. Innovative conservation action can improve habitats for rare dune plant and animal species. The Dynamic Dunescapes App provides a range of activities to measure sand dune health. Data is fed back to site managers to inform future management. At the end of the session, you will have a better understanding of what healthy dunes look like, how management improves dune health and how you can get involved in dune monitoring.

This talk is being hosted by Dynamic Dunescapes partner Plantlife as part of their Fall Into Nature events program. It will be hosted online via Zoom. Use the link below to register for this event and meeting joining instructions will be sent to you.
