Dynamic Dunescapes Conservation Day at Haverigg – 14 Oct
14/10/2021
10:00am - 3:00pm
Free
Join us for a hearty autumnal practical activity to help conserve nature on the dunes at Haverigg in Cumbria.
Join our team of dune volunteers and work alongside Natural England rangers. We will be helping to revive some of the overgrown dune slacks by removing areas of scrub. This will help to open up and restore the pools for biodiversity including natterjack toads, specialised plants, wildflowers and invertebrates.
No experience necessary.
What to bring:
Please provide your own work gloves, other tools and equipment will be provided. Please ensure you bring sturdy waterproof boots and sensible old clothing with spare layers that you don’t mind getting mucky or being in the vicinity of a fire. Please bring refreshments and a packed lunch too. Tea, coffee and cake provided.
Please do not attend if you show any symptoms of Covid or have been in contact with anyone with Covid.
