Discover the delights of the dunes with our series of family fun days at our dune den. All of the events are free and there's no need to book - you can find more information for each event on the Cumbria Wildlife Trust events page
Dune Days:
Watercolour creatures - 11/08/22 , 2:00pm - 4:30pm
Explore the creatures in the river and around the pools. Learn about the fascinating world under water and take a close look at some of the creatures lurking within. Come along, explore and try your hand at making and painting what you find too.
Sandcastles, sculptures and stone art - 18/08/22, 2:00pm - 4:30pm
Could you create a marvellous mermaid or a spectacular starfish from stones? Bring your buckets and spades and have a go at making your marine masterpiece. Come and join us at our dune den and we’ll get you started.
Wildflowers and beasties - 25/08/22, 2:00pm - 4:30pm
Explore the wonderful wildflowers and creepy crawlies of the dunes. Collect your activity sheets and nature finding equipment and go and explore. Drop in to our dune den and we’ll help you to identify what you have found!
Treasure hunt - 01/09/22, 10:00am - 12:30pm
Help us to clean up our coast whilst discovering the jewels found on our beaches. Bring back items to our treasure chest where our pirates will examine your finds. There’ll be a winner for the best treasure! Beach cleaning equipment provided.
